October 19th 2007, at sunset, Fendi was the protagonist of a unique world event: it was the first fashion house to stage a fashion show on the Great Wall of China. 88 models, 44 from China and 44 from around the world, for a catwalk of 88 metres, one of the longest ever (8 is considered a magical number in China).
For the first time, the symbol of division and isolation was transformed into a symbol of union between people and cultures.

The Spring/Summer 2008 collection was shown, but also a special collection inspired by traditional Chinese costumes.
After the fashion show guests were invited to a celebration dinner at The Village at SanLi Tun, followed by a party where more than 1,000 guests were treated to music courtesy of Nigo and DJ Muro.
